![]() The Houston Rockets had a good season last year finishing second the western conference, and getting all the way to the western conference finals where they lost to the Golden State Warriors. Many fans hoped that the Rockets would have another great season this year, but during the off season they lost their star center, Dwight Howard. The Rockets quickly realized that they needed to change things up this season if they wanted to be successful. They decided to take a risk by playing their star shooting guard James Harden at the point. This risk so far has paid off. Harden has had a great season so far playing point guard. He is averaging 28.7 points a game, 12.5 assists per game, and 7.8 rebounds per game. Not too bad for a player who has been playing shooting guard for most of his career. The only downside to this move so far is that Harden’s turnovers per game has gone up by 0.7, putting him at 5.3 turnovers per game. You may look at that statistic and think that having 5.3 turnovers a game is terrible, but honestly it's not that bad for a player who has had to convert from simply scoring to distributing the ball. This transition of Harden has worked positively for the team so far. They have started out this season winning 9 of their first 14 games putting them at a 9-5 record. James Harden needs to keep up this high level of play if the Rockets are to be successful. I believe he can, and if you watch him play you will agree. Harden makes some incredible moves with the ball. Harden also hits some crazy jump shots making him one of the best shooters in the NBA. His midrange game is deadly with his series of pull up jump shots and floaters over taller defenders. He is a master of the pick and roll which is why his assist and points numbers are so high. He either makes a great move for a basket off the pick, or hits the roll man with a great pass for an easy basket. James Harden is definitely developing to be one of the best point guards in the NBA today.

I really enjoyed reading this because I used to play basketball. I hear about the NBA from my brother all the time. The only suggestion I would give would be to formatted it in a list or a chart to make it easier to read. I think this is really informative and entertaining to people who like basketball.

I liked reading your blog, because it was informative and very interesting. I also liked how you used a lot of statistics. I would recommend writing two more small paragraphs-- an introduction and conclusion paragraph. Another thing to consider is talking more about your opinions. Overall, this is a good blog post and I am excited to read more of your posts!
